Frances B. Reed
PIERPONT � Frances Blantch Reed, 70, died at her home Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
The daughter of Jairl and Ida Marie (Robinson) Campbell, she was born in Dunlow, WV on May 6, 1942 and moved to the Ashtabula County area after high school and had remained a longtime resident.
On August 13, 1959, she married Wilbur Reed and they had celebrated fifty-three years of marriage prior to his death on November 18, 2011.
Frances was employed as a cook at Jefferson Healthcare for many years. She enjoyed making nourishing meals and doing alterations and sewing for the residents. The residents and staff were extended members of her family and she was always expressing concern for their well-being.
A talented cook, gardener, and seamstress, Francis was always busy. She would grow vegetables in her garden to give to her family and friends and she also canned and preserved much of the bounty of her work. She delighted many family members with her skills in making quilts. These quilts are cherished memories and will be passed down from family to family for years to come. She also enjoyed BINGO, camping at Holiday Camplands, and was especially fond of her dogs, Hercules, Rocky, and Dolly.
A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Francis will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her incredible work ethic, and love of nature�s beauty, as well as her unending love for her family and friends. Those who have been loved and cared for by Francis are blessed beyond compare.
She is survived by her four children, Wilbur Reed, Jr. of Spokane, Washington, Regina (James) Cusano of Jefferson, Ruth (Jerry) Hoback of Andover, and Michael Reed of Pierpont; many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; her siblings, Deanna Trent of California, Vera (Jack) Bear of Andover, Roy (Rickie) Campbell of Conneaut, Joy (Tom) Merritt of Andover, William (Becky) Campbell also of California, and Ronnie (Becky) Campbell and Glenn (Sandy) Campbell, both of Conneaut; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wilbur Reed; and infant sister, Judy Katherine Campbell; and her parents.
A calling hour will be held from 1 to 2 PM Friday, June 15, 2012 at CHILDS-WILLIAMS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 96 State Route 7, Pierpont Ohio with a memorial service to be held 2 PM. Rev. Earl W. Vautin of Pierpont Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Pierpont, Ohio

Wilbur F. Reed Pierpont- Wilbur F. Reed, age 72, of Pierpont, Ohio, died early Friday morning, Nov. 18, 2011, at Carington Park Nursing Home, Ashtabula, Ohio. Mr. Reed was born March 1, 1939, in West Virginia, the son of George Edward Reed and Ruby Vance. Wilbur worked most of his life as an owner/operator of a logging company in the Smoot, W. Va area, retiring in 1990. He then moved back to the Pierpont, Ohio area. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards and watching old westerns on TV. He also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his dogs, “Hercules and Dolly.” Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Frances Reed; two sons, Wilbur Reed of Spokane, Wash. And Mike Reed of Pierpont, Ohio; two daughters, Regina (James) Cusano of Jefferson, Ohio and Ruth (Jerry) Hoback of Andover, Ohio; two brothers, George (Pat) Reed of Ashtabula, Ohio and John Reed of West Virginia; and three sisters, Betty, Dotty and Dale all of the West Virginia area. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Jane and Marritta. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 22nd, at CHILDS & WILLIAMS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 96 St. Rt. 7, Pierpont, Ohio, with the Rev. Earl W. Vautin officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Pierpont. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the hour of Service, Tuesday, at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Reed family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
