Gregory A. Sabo
ASHTABULA - Gregory Alan Sabo, 52, of Ashtabula, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Gregory was born on June 27, 1964 in Kingsville the son of Gaylord and Nancy (Blood) Sabo. He attended Edgewood High School. Greg was employed with PET Processors in Painesville until 2007, when he was no longer able to work. He married the love of his life, Amy Nelling Sabo on June 22, 2002 in Hayslett Park in Jefferson.
He enjoyed camping with his brother, fishing and listening to music, especially Heavy Metal.
Greg cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and even on this Easter Sunday, spent time hunting for eggs with them. He also loved going to his grandchildren’s games. He loved them all very much and had a special bond with each of them. His bond with Nick Bruner was very special and papa never missed a practice or a games, especially during football season. Papa and Nick absolutely loved football season. Papa enjoyed watching his baby boy crush people and excel on the football field. Even when he was sick, he still made sure he made it to all the practices, games and watched the T.V. shows that he and each of the grandkids liked. Nick was Papa’s advocate that kept him going, fighting and not giving up. He was right there for everything and was by Greg and Amy’s side. Greg was a loving and caring person that would give his shirt off his back for someone in need. Greg also enjoyed hanging out and having his best friend John T. Rock over for a few cold ones, while sitting around the fire.
