Bernard R. Foucher, 86, passed away, Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Pine Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Geneva.
He was born May 14, 1931 in Bennington, Vermont, the son of the late, Lawrence and Lillian (Bent) Foucher. Bernie was a United States Army Veteran service his country from 1949-1952. He worked for many years at Lincoln Electric, drove truck, and also served his community as a volunteer firefighter.
Bernard enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He was also a talented woodworker, creating many unique pieces over the years.
He is survived by his son, Bernard “Ron” Foucher and his wife Holly of Unionville; sister, Janet Dorman; and 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Bernard is preceded in death by his wife, Delores; sons, Kenneth and Larry Foucher; daughter, Cynthia Norcop; and siblings, Richard Foucher, Diane Kobel, and Florence Perrott.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 1PM at Madison Memorial Cemetery on Arcola Rd., in Madison, with Rev. Rick Hughes, officiating. A time of fellowship will be held afterward at the Madison VFW, Post 8548, 7604 Lake Rd. E., Madison, Ohio 44057.
